Ghassan Kanafani Cultural Foundation
Each year, Rimal Publications funds the production of photographer Falak Shawwa's calendar projects, and the proceeds from the sales of those calendars are donated to a specific cause or organization. For two consecutive years (2011 and 2012) the proceeds were donated to the Ghassan Kanafani Cultural Foundation. The team from the foundation have been very supportive in also promoting the calendars.
The calendar sales raised over US$17,000 annually, which covered the annual tuition of 35 children at the GKCF Kindergartens over the period or two years. We hope that the proceeds from the 2013 calendar and following years will continue supporting the children's early education in the refugee camps.
Thank you for your support!

Gaza Monologues
In 2009, ASHTAR Theatre, through its Gaza trainer Ali Abu Yassine, started training youth in Gaza again with the support of UNICEF. In 2010, they started training a new group aged 14 to 18 using drama therapy and creative writing.
The first three months of work focused on the wounds of the Gaza attack of December 2008-January 2009, the youth's individual experiences, their dreams , fears and hopes... This work led to the birth of The Gaza Mono-Logues.
We were delighted to contribute our publishing services to publish The Gaza Monologues (paperback) in three languages, Arabic, English and French. If you would like a free copy of the book, please contact us.
