Rimal Sponsors May Nasr Concert

A Great New Voice from Lebanon. On Sunday evening - November 16, 2008 - May Nasr held her concert and first CD launch at 8:00 pm at the Theater of the Lebanese Doctors' Syndicate (Beit El Tabib) in Beirut.
May Nasr, a Lebanese singer from the village of Abey in Mount Lebanon, began singing with her guitar as a hobby. Gradually May gained recognition and was encouraged by friends, family and her mentors to produce a work of her own.

Today, with remarkable support from friends and family, May launched her first CD. Her message is one of love and hope for her country and her people.

This concert and CD launch event were dedicated to all those who have supported and encouraged May through all the hardships and joys of this process.

Rimal Publications was proud to be a sponsor for this event and we wish May Nasr the best with her journey.

"May sings with her guitar, her heart and the beautiful voice with which she has been blessed."
-Zaki Nassif

"May's singing comes from the heart and has the ability to go straight to the heart."
-Fareed Abou El Kheir

"May has a refined ear. She is Lebanese surrounded by Lebanese people, and yet she is creating her own style. When you are serious, gifted and ambitious, you are complete."
- Joseph Ichkanian

"When I sing, whether alone or in front of a crowd, I forget about everything around me and just let my heart do the reaching out through the melody and meaning I so wish to convey. It is like a meditation for me, and it gives me deep satisfaction and gratitude to see that other people actually find it as satisfactory for them to hear me sing."
- May Nasr
